Job summary

Majestic Care of North Vernon is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide direct hands-on nursing care to residents on a daily basis. The CNA supports professional nursing staff and strives to help residents achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

This full-time evening and night shift role emphasizes compassionate care, infection control, and safe, respectful interactions with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must be certified and state tested as a CNA in the state employed.
• Certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights to provide comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair within the community.
• Report significant findings to the nurse immediately.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge for smooth transitions.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of resident rooms and belongings.
• Follow infection control techniques and respect resident privacy.
