Job summary

Palms Nursing Center in Chowchilla, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care and assist nursing staff in daily activities. Requirements include current enrollment in a nursing assistant program or CNA license and a minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure.

Duties include rounds, ID verification, bedside care, and maintaining clean work areas under supervision.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a nursing assistant program or licensed as a CNA.
Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility policies, procedures and safety rules.
Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer nursing care.
Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food.
Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.
