Job Description

The primary objective of this position will be to assist the PeaceCare Team as the direct service provider of personal service services to participating PeaceCare residents. This is accomplished by serving the residents according to their need and service plan, with a ready, pleasant, and accommodating disposition to provide them with a quality lifestyle by achieving the service goals and objectives for the resident population of Peace Village under the PeaceCare program.

Essential Functions
  • Serve residents according to their need and service plan, promoting their rights, dignity, and independence.
  • Support residents based on their individualized service plans.
  • Provide personal services such as assisting with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, and other needs as specified.
  • Maintain safety by using proper body mechanics and lifting devices.
  • Complete mandated Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Respond to tasks assigned by supervisors and nurses.
  • Explain procedures to residents to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Monitor residents’ comfort and safety, including emotional support.
  • Record significant conditions and notify appropriate staff of changes.
  • Take vital signs when required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Assist and escort residents for appointments and activities.
  • Document provided services accurately.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to life-saving situations.
  • Complete medication reminders and ongoing training.
  • Assist in training new CNAs.
  • Provide excellent customer service aligned with Peace Village’s mission.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in health services preferred, especially in retirement communities.
  • 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
Additional Information

This position is part-time, full-time, or seasonal, with variable hours including nights and weekends as needed. Travel is not required. The physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and other physical activities necessary to perform duties effectively.
