Job summary

Carolina Family Health Centers in Tarboro, NC seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Freedom Hill Community Health Center. The role supports clinicians, maintains exam rooms, and assists with exams and procedures.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek with no weekends, full benefits, a bi-annual bonus, 12 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus and certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited CNA program with certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Must be a team player and willing to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients back to exam rooms and prepare them for examination by taking vital signs and brief histories.
• Maintain exam rooms with supplies; track, organize, and order supplies.
• Assist medical provider with procedures and exams (e.g., chaperone, pap smears, ECGs).
• Clean and sterilize equipment and document tasks.
• Complete patient information and forms while protecting confidentiality.
• Assist patients with registration and medical history forms.
