Job summary

LCB Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide compassionate, person-centered care under the Habilitative curriculum for residents with Alzheimer's and related dementias. You will follow approved service plans and work closely with the nursing team to support dignity, independence, and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting services, participating in training, and engaging residents in cognitive and social activities.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA training or equivalent, CPR/First Aid as required.
• Ability to document services using a computer and communicate in English.
• Experience with dementia care and maintaining state regulation compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and core values to residents and community.
• Help grow community occupancy through positive interactions with residents and families.
• Complete orientation training before starting duties.
• Assist residents with medications per state regulations and document entries.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote independence.
• Monitor changes in resident needs and health status; report to RN.
• Assist with clothing and laundry per service plan.
• Help residents go to bed at night when necessary.
• Keep resident units neat, clean and orderly.
• Answer emergency calls and attend to residents' needs promptly.
• Participate in scheduled trainings and mandatory education.
• Escort residents to meals and engagement activities as directed.
• Document scheduled and unscheduled services and input into tracking system.
• Initiate and facilitate cognitive, social, physical activity programs.
• Use habilitative/therapeutic cues and redirection as needed.
• Ability to manage difficult resident behaviors.
• Other duties as requested.
