Job description

Essential Functions in This Position Include But Are Not Limited To:
  1. Observe residents and note changes in physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, and report any changes or unusual findings to the charge nurse.
  2. Transfer residents from bed to chair and vice versa.
  3. Turn and position residents.
  4. Bathe residents, including showering and tub baths. Use mechanical lifts and transfer residents from chair to tub chair for bathing.
  5. Assist with feeding residents and prepare meal trays, including opening containers.
  6. Take vital signs, record them, and track fluid intake and output.
  7. Provide oral and dental care to residents.
  8. Shave residents.
  9. Assist residents with incontinence care and toileting.
  10. Care for residents’ hair, including combing.
