Job summary

The Villages at Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. This role involves providing residents with personal care, assisting the charge nurse, and supporting a multidisciplinary team on 12-hour shifts.

You will contribute to care plans, document observations, and help residents maintain independence while ensuring safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nursing assistant is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly developed observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner that ensures safety and comfort.
• Promote independence for residents as much as possible.
• Inform supervising charge nurse of resident status at shift start and end.
• Contribute to resident care plans with knowledge of resident conditions/needs.
• Assist with care plan implementation within policy and procedures.
• Observe and report on residents’ conditions and document findings.
• Ensure equipment is clean and functional, and maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with community policy.
• Promotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
• Advises supervising charge nurse of resident’s status at beginning and end of shift.
• Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
• Observes and reports on residents’ conditions, and documents observations as required.
• Complies with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of residents per established policies and procedures.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Assures that equipment is clean and functional.
• Performs incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

CNA Requirements:

• State certification as a nursing assistant
• Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant
• Highly developed observation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
