As the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano, you will work a 12-hour shift, providing our patients with personal care, assisting the charge nurse, and providing exceptional service. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with community policy.
• Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
• Advise supervising charge nurse of resident’s status at beginning and end of shift.
• Contribute knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
• Observe and report on patients’ conditions, and document observations as required.
• Comply with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Ensure that equipment is clean and functional.
• Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

CNA Requirements:

• State certification as a nursing assistant.
• Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
