Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver during scheduled work periods in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, recording vital signs, psychosocial support, transferring, repositioning, assisting with meals, documenting interactions, and supporting recreational activities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification
  • Completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually)
  • For applicable states, registered with the UAP Registry
