Coverage area: Morgan and Cullman counties

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)

How you will contribute (not limited to):

• Coordinate with the nurse to provide safe patient care and report on patient conditions
• Perform personal care, take vitals, communicate with families
• Travel between patients and work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting families and patients at end-of-life

Qualifications

• Meet state training requirements
• Minimum 6 months experience including personal care
• At least 18 years old
• Complete 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours prior to practical training)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care
• Understanding of hospice philosophy; comfortable providing care to terminally ill
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong communication and organizational skills
