Coverage Area

Travel throughout the territory is required for visits.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM

How You Will Contribute

• Coordinate with the assigned nurse to provide safe patient care and report on patient conditions.
• Perform personal care, take vitals, communicate with families, and other duties as assigned.
• Travel between patients and support families and patients during their end-of-life journey.

Qualifications

• Meet state training requirements
• Minimum six months experience including personal care
• At least 18 years old
• Complete 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours prior to practical training)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to follow written instructions and document care
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing care to the terminally ill
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong communication and organizational skills
