Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident, providing resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily activities under RN supervision. Knowledge of age-appropriate care, infection control policies, and proper transfer techniques is essential. Tasks include bathing, toileting, grooming, vital signs, psychosocial support, and assisting with meals and mobility. The NA also documents interactions, communicates changes, and supports recreational activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16. Prior long-term care experience is a plus. Must have CNA certification or be in the process of obtaining it. Ongoing education and certifications are required. May need to meet driving requirements if applicable.
