QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or licensed as a certified nursing assistant.
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification program.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all duties as assigned, following the facility’s policies, nursing care procedures, and safety regulations.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to provide quality nursing care.
• Verify resident identification before providing care or serving food to ensure appropriate care.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water, and within residents’ reach.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
