Job Responsibilities

• Implementing best practice nursing care in post-acute residents in nearby areas
• Monitoring the conditions of residents and providing updates to the nursing team
• Measuring and documenting the basic vital signs of residents
• Helping residents with grooming, feeding, toileting, and other basic activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Promoting a clean and safe environment by ensuring best practices in hygiene
• Transporting residents around the facility and assisting them with other movements, as needed
• Interacting with residents daily to keep them engaged, provide comfort, and build trusting relationships
• Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable rules, regulations, and policies
• Bridging communications between staff and residents (and their family members)

Qualifications and Skills

• Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology
• Ability to communicate with medical professionals as well as patients/residents and their family members
• High level of attention to detail
• Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
