Position Overview:
- Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide personal and nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of residents in Elderwood skilled nursing facilities (SNF). They work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. State-specific certification is required.

Responsibilities
(CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant):
- Supervise and coordinate personal care duties performed by Nursing Assistants on your team.
- Report unusual symptoms, daily needs, and progress of residents to the Charge Nurse.
- Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents’ conditions or needs.
- Follow each resident’s Profile of Care and monitor the performance of Nursing Assistants in executing the care plan.
- Respond promptly to residents’ requests.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) according to their care plan and individual needs.

Qualifications
(CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant):
- Minimum age of 17; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for 17-year-olds.
- Registration in the State Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) is mandatory, with no findings or convictions of resident abuse or mistreatment.
- Experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Caring and respectful attitude towards residents.
- Physical stamina for continuous activity.
- Ability to perform tasks to high standards of excellence.
- This role involves regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors. To ensure safety and effective communication, applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level.
