Job summary

Magnolia Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing staff. You will help prepare residents for therapies, assist with daily activities, and ensure a clean, safe environment while promoting dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in CNA training or licensed CNA.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English well.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy/activities/visits and transport as needed.
• Answer residents' call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service programs and on-the-job training.
• Assist residents with hygiene and bathing.
• Follow infection-control procedures.
• Chart required information every shift.
• Present professional image in dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to standards for resolving resident concerns.
• Protect resident rights.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT / CNA QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a school for certified nursing assistant / CNA or have a license as a certified nursing assistant / CNA .
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning at.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT / CNA GENERAL DUTIES:

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., to include transporting residents to/from such activities.
• Answer residents’ call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs, on the job training programs, and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene
• Bathe residents as assigned and in accordance with established facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities).
• Follow infection-control procedures in accordance with established facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.
• Chart required information every shift.
• Present professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
