CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT / CNA QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in a school for certified nursing assistant / CNA or have a license as a certified nursing assistant / CNA.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their current maturity level.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT / CNA DUTIES:

Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., including transporting residents.

Answer residents’ call lights promptly.

Attend in-service educational programs, on-the-job training, and meetings as directed.

Assist residents with hygiene, including bathing and encouraging self-help activities.

Follow infection-control procedures when necessary.

Chart required information every shift.

Present a professional image through dress, behavior, and speech.

Adhere to company standards for resolving concerns.

Protect residents' rights.
