Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Overland Park, KS is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to support residents with daily living activities on part-time day and night shifts. You will follow resident care plans, monitor health, assist with bathing and mobility, and document changes for the care team.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification and active with state Nurse Aid Registry.
• Basic First Aid Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, mobility).
• Monitor health, safety and wellbeing; take and record vitals; report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, walking, and use of mobility aids.
• Document changes in residents’ functional status, needs and appointments.
• Maintain records of chargeable services and submit by the monthly deadline.
• Respond to call signals and emergencies; assist or contact support as needed.
• Assist with minor housekeeping and laundry as applicable; maintain clean spaces.
• Maintain infection control and confidentiality of resident information.
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities; chaperone as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position will provide essential care to our residents by assisting them with activities of daily living while ensuring wellbeing and safety.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor health, safety and well-being of the residents by taking and recording vitals, reporting nuances to supervisor.
• Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and using mobility aids as needed.
• Document information pertaining to changes in residents’ functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc.
• Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month.
• Respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies, assisting with their immediate need or contacting emergency support.
• Assist with minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments, including laundry if applicable.
• Maintain clean and sanitary resident spaces, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, chaperoning and assisting as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations, and personnel.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience And Other Requirements

• Certified Nurse’s Aide Certification and active with state Nurse Aid Registry
• Basic First Aid Training
• High school diploma or GED
