Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care, including daily living tasks and hygiene, under supervision.

The role supports patient comfort, monitors vital signs, assists with mobility and nutrition, and adheres to infection control and resident rights.

A current Arkansas CNA certification is required; a high school diploma or equivalent and a nursing assistant certificate are preferred; long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Arkansas CNA certification is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred or a certificate in Nursing Assistant.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate, speak, and write effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists with resident/patient care needs and comforts (oral hygiene, bathing, nail care, shaving, hair care).
• Ensures bowel and bladder needs are met per standards of care.
• Assists with residents' nutritional needs.
• Assists with residents' activity needs (ambulation, moving, lifting, positioning).
• Follows infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Treats residents, visitors, and employees with courtesy.
• Accepts and organizes assignments as delegated by the LPN/RN.
• Exhibits knowledge of Resident Rights and reports concerns to LPN/RN.
• Ensures residents' needs are met upon request.
• Performs CNA skills (vital signs, foley care, specimen collection, use of lifts).
• Maintains current knowledge and competency in CNA practice.
• Meets attendance policy and enhances team effectiveness by dependability.
• Problem solve/prioritize/initiative as needed.

• Consistently performs CNA skills: i.e. vital signs, foley care, specimen collection, use of lifts and equipment.
• Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in CNA practice.

Other information

Current Arkansas CNA certification is required.
