The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Team Highlights:
The patient population of 2 East consists of joint replacements, neuro surgeries, traumas, strokes, seizure patients, as well as general medical patients. Kootenai Health's Total Joint Program is a collaborative effort between local participating surgeons and hospital staff to ensure our patients having hip, knee or shoulder replacement surgery have a safe and successful recovery. Neurosurgery focuses on surgical treatment of disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrovascular system. We work with patients recovering from Craniotomies, Laminectomies, cervical and many other types of surgeries performed by our experienced care team. Neurology treats disorders of the nervous system, caring for patients with strokes, Traumatic Brain Injuries, seizure patients requiring EEG monitoring, and many other diagnoses.

• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs.
• Typical equipment used in a clinical role job.
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend.
• Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment.
• Must be able to assist in patient transfer.
