Job summary

Royale Care VA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our home health team. The CNA provides essential support to patients in their homes, delivering high-quality care while following safety and health regulations.

You will work closely with nursing staff to assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, document findings, and respond to patient needs. CPR certification and Virginia CNA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant with Virginia Board of Nursing credentials.
• Active CPR certification required.
• Experience in home health is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Wellsky Home Health EMR or similar system is a plus.
• Ability to lift patients safely and maintain safety compliance.
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Provide basic life support when necessary and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Support hospice care by providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Utilize Wellsky Home Health EMR system for documenting patient information accurately.
• Lift and transfer patients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and changes.
