Job Purpose:

To provide non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, and to assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Shift Availability:

6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents
• Work in a climate-controlled, well-lighted environment, including offices and throughout the building
• Handle exposure risks with proper training and protective equipment
• Perform physical activities such as walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, and pushing/pulling
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Follow training and instruct staff in service education
• Remain calm under stress

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing or complete state-required training and competency evaluation within four months
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Positive relation to residents and families, and cooperative work attitude
• Regular attendance and ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
