Job summary

Citadel Healthcare is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Northbrook. The CNA assists with activities of daily living, provides personal hygiene support, and ensures medication compliance, all under nurse supervision.

Qualifications

• Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff.
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure coordination of patient care.
• Provide physical support for patients/residents' daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Assist patients with daily medication and supplements.
• Ensure proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions.
• Examine patients for open wounds and bruises.
• Communicate patient behavior and changes in mood.
• Clean rooms and bed linens.
• Record vital signs under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Respond to patient calls and needs.
