Job summary

Absolut Care of Gasport is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Gasport, NY. Per diem shifts with competitive hourly rates from $18.11 to $22.07 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with ADLs, providing basic patient care, documenting vital signs, and aiding transfers with safe equipment. We value teamwork and are committed to career support and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA experience.
• Ability to lift, turn, and transfer residents safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Provide basic patient care and emotional support under licensed staff supervision.
• Document vital signs, input/output, and report changes in condition to nurse.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using safe techniques and equipment (gait belts, Hoyer lifts).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment for residents.
• Support rehabilitation goals by encouraging independence and dignity.
