Job summary

Senior Helpers of Baltimore and Central Maryland is seeking compassionate caregivers, CNAs, and GNAs to support Veterans in their homes. Training is provided, and schedules include day, evening, overnight, weekday and weekend assignments.

Applicants should be able to travel to client locations, have a valid driver’s license, and meet background screening requirements. This position emphasizes compassion, reliability, and dedication to serving those who served our country.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, or GNA experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to assigned clients.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to meet required background screening requirements.
• Current TB screening or willingness to complete required screening.
• CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Follow Veteran’s care plan to assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily routines.
• Provide companionship and support to Veterans in their homes.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Remind and help with medications as directed.
• Ensure accurate visit documentation and reporting of changes in condition.
• Coordinate with office staff and nurses for client care.
• Travel to client locations and transports to appointments when assigned.
• Support Veterans to maintain independence and dignity.
