Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents.
• Assist clients with prescribed medications and ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside, such as attending doctor’s appointments or taking walks.
• Assist with planning and preparing meals.
• Help with physical therapy exercises.
• Perform cognitive exercises with clients.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents or changes in the health status of the client.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities essential for daily living and participate in engaging and enriching activities for the client.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Prior experience in healthcare or in-home care environment.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
• Take pride in providing high-quality care.
• Eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Reliable, dependable, punctual.
