The position requires an active Texas CNA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and good communication skills. Shifts include 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, PRN, with hourly compensation in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Aide Certification in the State of Texas.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
• Ability to work well with residents, resident families, and all staff.
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Assist with duties of the resident care plan, including toileting and elimination needs.
• Provide vital signs and report any irregularities to the charge nurse.
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, or changes in residents to the charge nurse.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting residents who may weigh 50lbs or more.
• Demonstrate proper lifting and transfer techniques using lifters.
• Follow Universal Precaution standards and identify safety hazards in the facility.
• Respond to resident call lights and participate in rehabilitative measures.
