Job summary

The Retreat at Jasper, operated by The Retreat family, is seeking a Resident Care Associate (CNA) to join our assisted living and memory care teams on a part-time or PRN basis. You will deliver hands-on care and support residents according to each PSP, maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

You will participate in service plan development, follow hydration schedules, and promptly respond to call bells while ensuring resident rights and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred and may be required by the state.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of Personalized Service Plans and updates; attends service plan review meetings with families as requested.
• Follows hydration schedule established for residents during shift.
• Completes resident meal attendance sheets and ensures dining room participation or room service when needed.
• Knows and complies with all resident rights.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Checks residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence issues, and change in condition.
• Uses sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Checks assigned resident rooms daily for cleanliness; ensures high-risk rooms are double checked.
• Assists with laundry rooms and common areas; ensures safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Completes all ADLs per PSP.
• Responds to security system and resident call bells promptly.

Education

High School education preferred
