Job summary

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant I for the Cardiac Unit. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under nursing supervision, supports daily living activities, and assists with patient transport and linen changes.

Orientation and ongoing collaboration with the nursing team are essential. The paid shift is from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a salary range listed as $21.00–$26.64 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current CNA registration in Maine.
• BLS certification to be obtained prior to patient care and kept current.
• 1 year healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients.
• Assist with linens and patient transfers or transport as needed.
• Document patient care in timely manner in EMR.
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate patient needs to oncoming staff and RNs.
