Job summary

Akicita Federal is hiring Certified Nurse Assistants for the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD, supporting the Workforce Safety/BERT team. This contract position requires 1 year of experience, BLS, and a state license, with evening or night shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

You will deliver protocol-driven care, document in the EHR, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and respond to behavioral escalations as part of a multidisciplinary research team.

Qualifications

• Completion of nurse assistant certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience.
• Valid license in at least one state in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, protocol-informed care and maintain the integrity of research procedures and the accuracy of research data collection.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and comfort
• Obtain and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to the RN
• Respond with the Code BERT team to patients experiencing behavioral escalation requiring additional staff support
• Collaborate with NIH investigators, fellows, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support informed consent and educate patients and families participating in research protocols
