Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in Arlington, TX to provide resident care and support to nursing staff. Requires active CNA license, High school diploma, and CPR/BLS; at least 1 year in long-term care.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities, weights, nutrition, and documentation. Must follow care plans, safety policies, and report changes promptly. Strong teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification.
• At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and staff as needed.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living per care plans and policies.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring.
• Coordinates dining room services, tray delivery, feeding, and meal intake documentation.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and ensures intake is recorded.
• Tracks residents' weights and reports changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports issues to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily and documents progress.
• Notifies nurse/supervisor of factors affecting tasks.
• Reports changes in residents' condition to nurse and supervisor.
• Attends care-plan meetings; participates in QA or assessments as needed.
• Accept CNA assignments per staffing needs; performs duties per policies.
• Uses proper lifting and body mechanics.
