Job summary
Gurwin Healthcare System in Commack, NY is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for our Adult Day Care Program, working 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with occasional weekend rotation. You will provide direct care under a licensed nurse and lead activities for participants.
Requirements include NYS Nurse Aide Certification (no abuse findings), CPR preferred, and Spanish language ability is a plus.
Qualifications
- Certified in New York State Nurse Aide Registry (not expired).
- No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation recorded.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to Adult Day Care registrants under a licensed nurse.
- Lead activities and programs for participants.
- Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, and basic mobility as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and document care as directed.
- Support nutritional needs during meals and feeding as required.
