Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week acute care assignment. The CNA will provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg unit under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Epic experience is required.

Requirements include an Oregon CNA certification, current BLS, and prior Acute Care/Med-Surg experience is preferred. Strong patient care and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon CNA certification/license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Epic experience required.
• Previous Acute Care/Med-Surg experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, hydration, elimination, positioning, and personal care.
• Obtain and document vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure.
• Assist patients with mobility and restorative care.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the RN.
• Provide patient support within the CNA scope of practice.
• Perform routine clerical and organizational duties to support unit operations.
• Route patient reports appropriately and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and follow facility policies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
