Gallup Nursing and Rehabilitation in Gallup, NM is seeking a full-time CNA to deliver resident care with compassion and respect. The role operates 6am to 6pm, and includes following established nursing care procedures and safety rules.

You will perform rounds, verify resident IDs, assist with daily living activities, and collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in a CNA program or hold a CNA license.
• Demonstrates compassion and clear communication with residents.

Responsabilidades

• Perform duties per policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and within reach.
• Other duties as directed by Charge Nurse or Administrator.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: GENERAL

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
