Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential personal care for patients in inpatient facilities, hospitals, and nursing homes. The role supports daily living activities and follows the nursing plan of care under supervision.

The position emphasizes teamwork, infection control, safety, and accurate reporting of patient status. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered, with requirements per state regulations; eligibility varies by facility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have High School diploma or equivalent and successful completion of Nursing Assistant course and Nurse Assistant certification as required by state.
• A student RN in last year or an unlicensed RN/LPN/LVN graduate may be eligible where allowed by state law/regulation.
• One year of experience in a comparable job classification and/or as required by contracted facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide for patient’s personal hygiene, grooming, and comfort needs (toileting, baths, nail care, oral hygiene).
• Promote a safe environment and apply infection control measures.
• Observe and report patient condition to supervisor.
• Work in a team to deliver care and assistance.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Perform procedures: measure intake/output, glucose checks, urine specimens, vitals, weight.
• Administer non-medicated enemas, dressings, preps, ice/heat treatments, sitz baths.
• Safely use and monitor restraints as directed.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
