Job summary

Brentwood Place Two is a dedicated long-term care facility in Dallas seeking a licensed CNA to join our team. The role involves performing nursing duties, resident rounds, and ensuring resident safety and comfort.

We welcome candidates who value compassionate care and teamwork and who are able to engage with residents, families, and staff professionally. This full-time position invites walk-in interviews at our Dallas facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during certification
• Must possess a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes hostile residents

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled and accessible
• Assist with other related duties as directed by supervisors

Qualifications:

General Duties:

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.

• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.

• Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident.

• Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.

• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
