Description

The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties. This posting represents a 0.9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30am, 3, 12-hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

  • Tuition reimbursement/education– includes 100% tuition paid program options; up to $5,250 per year for select undergraduate and masters degrees within Guild catalog. Required books and fees are 100% covered or reimbursable for select schools in the Guild catalog up to program funding cap
  • Paid Time Off – Benefit eligible caregivers receive up to 25 days per year
  • Retirement - The Providence retirement program consists of employer match and discretionary contributions that work together with your pre-tax (and/orRoth aftertax) contributions to help you save for retirement.

In This Position You Will

  • Contribute to a high functioning team
  • Meaningfully advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
  • Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
  • 1 year experience as a CNA 2.
