Qualifications

• Texas State certification as a nursing assistant is required.
• Familiarity with CNA duties and responsibilities.
• Strong observation and communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner that ensures safety and comfort.
• Promote independence for residents.
• Inform supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at start and end of shift.
• Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions to care plans.
• Assist in implementing care plans within policy and procedures.
• Observe and document residents’ conditions as required.
• Ensure safe lifting and transfers per policies.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free environment and equipment.
• Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
