Job summary

ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, turning, and mobility, while helping the nursing team with procedures within scope of practice.

You will monitor vital signs, document findings, prepare rooms, help with transfers, and support safe, compassionate care on 12-hour day or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience, preferably in a hospital or long term care facility.
• Nurse Aide certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care such as positioning patients, turning and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and document accurately, including intake and output.
• Assist in preparing units, rooms, and supplies for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Assist patients with meals and personal hygiene, including bathing and grooming.
• Transport patients and collect specimens as needed and report changes to the RN.
