Job summary

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. Description


CNA 1 - Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. This posting represents a .9 FTE, night shift opening (7pm-7:30am, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends and holidays.


Extra Incentives:



  • Night shift differential - $4.00 p/hr

  • Extra shift - $10.00 p/hr

In this position you will:



  • Contribute to a high functioning team

  • Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers

  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights

  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests

  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices

  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development

  • Other duties as assigned


The Certified Nursing Assistant provides non-professional direct patient care under the supervision and direction of an RN, utilizing the care plan.

Required qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training and Completion of certification course for Nursing Assistants.

  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


Preferred qualifications:



  • 1 year of experience in nursing home or hospital experience.
