Job summary

Blakehurst Senior Living in Towson, MD, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - 1 (Part-Time Shifts Available) to join our compassionate care team. Shifts include early morning, evening, and overnight options across multiple units with a focus on high-quality personal care for residents.

The role requires at least one year of GNA experience, a high school diploma or GED, and active Maryland Board of Nursing Registry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist all residents with high-quality personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning).
• Assist residents with mealtime and encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments or report to nursing supervisor if unable to complete.
• Communicate with residents, families, Department Leaders, and Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned/directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.

Shifts Available In Comprehensive Care Unit

Part-Time Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, Every other Weekend

Part-Time Shift 11:00pm-7:30am, Every other Weekend

Shift Available In Assisted Living Unit

Part-Time Shift 11:00pm-7:30am, Every other Tue, Fri, & Weekend

Shift Available In Memory Care Unit

Part-Time (CNA-1/CMT) Shift 3:00pm-11:30am, Every other Weekend

Blakehurst is recruiting for hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we request vaccination status that he/she had testing done for measles, mumps, rubella, & varicella (MMRV) to ensure immunity.
