Job summary

TalentBurst is hiring a Full-Time CNA for long-term care assignments in Waterloo, NY. The role requires NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS, with at least 1 year of CNA experience in a long-term care setting. 7.5-hour shifts, five days per week, with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care) per care plan.
• Maintain resident safety and the environment; respond to call lights and prevent falls.
• Support meals by delivering trays and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Assist with mobility and rehab activities; transfers and positioning assistance.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor health status.
• Document care activities and communicate changes to the nurse.

Complete Description

Education: Must have High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Minimum 1-year as licensed CNA in a long-term care setting

Job Functions

• Assist residents with daily living needs (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care, etc.) per care plan
• Maintain resident safety and environment (respond to call lights, use safety equipment, prevent falls, clean unit)
• Support residents with meals (deliver trays, help with feeding, use adaptive equipment, honor food preferences)
• Assist with mobility and rehab needs (range of motion, walking, transfers, proper positioning, use of aids)
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Measure and record weight, intake and output
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
• Help with resident social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship
• Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights at all times
• Report resident concerns, changes, or refusals to nurse promptly
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol

Other: Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues
