Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking compassionate Nurse Techs (CNAs) for Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages in Papillion, NE. You will work with nurses and cottage teams to provide hands-on, person-centered care in a home-like setting.

Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in caring for aging adults. We offer multiple shifts and opportunities to grow within Hillcrest.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required.
• Active Nebraska CNA certification required.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or obtainable within Hillcrest’s timeframe.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and daily living activities.
• Help with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
• Encourage independence and maintain safety for residents.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Observe for changes in condition, comfort, or mobility and report to nurse.

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and energetic Nurse Techs (CNAs) to join our team at Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages in Papillion.

The Cottages offer a unique, home-like environment where elders are supported in maintaining as much independence, choice, and connection as possible. As a Nurse Tech, you will become part of their daily lives—helping with personal care, encouraging independence, noticing the little things, and building relationships that matter.

What You’ll Do

As a Nurse Tech, you will work alongside nurses and other cottage team members to provide hands-on, person-centered care.

You will:

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
• Help with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
• Encourage elders to safely maintain as much independence as possible.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Observe elders for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, or mobility.
• Communicate changes or concerns promptly to the nurse.
• Assist with meals, snacks, hydration, and other daily needs.
• Support individualized care plans and routines.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain elder privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Follow infection-control and safe resident-handling procedures.
• Communicate positively with elders, families, nurses, and fellow team members.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming cottage environment.
• Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the cottage running smoothly.

• Previous CNA, senior living, long-term care, post-acute, assisted living, or similar experience preferred.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to safely assist elders with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care.
• Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
• Must be able to remain flexible and calm when supporting elders, families, and team members.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
• Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology.
• Must follow established infection-control, safety, and care procedures.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
