Job summary

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, CT is hiring part-time CNAs for first and second shifts (7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm) with every-other-weekend coverage. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and provide compassionate care in a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Qualified candidates hold an active CT CNA certification; CPR/BLS is preferred. Previous long-term care experience and strong communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Type: Part-Time | First and second shift

We are currently hiring part time, every other weekend, CNAs for first shift (7am-3pm) and second shift (3pm-11pm).

Position Summary:

As a CNA, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' health and well-being. You'll work alongside licensed nurses and an interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive exceptional care with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility

• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in resident condition

• Support residents with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

• Document care provided in accordance with facility policies

Qualifications:

• Active CNA Certification in the state of CT

• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus
