Job summary

Avid Health at Home is hiring caring individuals to provide in-home health support in the High Point area. This part-time role focuses on helping clients with daily living activities, medication reminders, mobility support, meal preparation, and companionship in a respectful, safe environment.

The position offers a flexible schedule with weekly pay, paid time off for eligible staff, and opportunities for training and advancement while making a meaningful difference in clients' quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Caregiving experience preferred (1 year).
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with physical therapy exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Job Responsibilities:

• Help clients take prescribed medication


• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)


• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene


• Help clients with physical therapy exercises


• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)


• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop


• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own


• Be a pleasant and supportive companion


• Report any unusual incidents


• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
