Landwehr Construction is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair commercial motor vehicles at job sites or maintenance shops. The role involves shop and field work during the construction season and overtime may be required.
You will work with the Shop Supervisor and dispatch, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and part ordering while maintaining safety standards throughout every task.
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent required. 2-year vocational training program in Diesel Technology preferred.
Experience: 2-year technical degree in Diesel Technology or a combination of training and experience that provides equivalent skills, knowledge and abilities. Valid commercial driver’s license is preferred, or the ability and willingness to obtain.
Objective: The primary function of the position will be to diagnose and repair commercial motor vehicles (CMV) and support equipment at various job sites or at the maintenance shops. This individual must be flexible and open to possible overtime construction season. This individual must also be able to make timely repairs, provide ongoing maintenance, and monitor equipment.

Job Environment: This position will require time being spent in the shop and field during the construction season. This role will interact on a day‑to‑day basis with the Tech Shop Supervisor, Technician Supervisors, Shop Manager and dispatch. This is a full‑time, year‑round position.
Relationships/Management: The position will interact with all levels of personnel within the company including union and non‑union employees, other department managers, support personnel and be able to develop effective rapport with the vendor community.
