Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Capitol Services, PLLC (HCCS) in Washington, DC is seeking a CMT Sample Pickup Technician to collect concrete test cylinders and other construction samples from job sites and transport them to the laboratory.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, the ability to safely operate a vehicle, and the capacity to lift 60-80 pounds. Engineering or Geology degrees are a plus, with strong communication skills and pre-employment MVR screening.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Assoc/Bach in Engineering or Geology a plus).
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle and navigate urban streets.
• Must meet pre-employment criteria including MVR.

Responsibilities

• Pickup concrete test cylinders and samples from job sites and transport to laboratory.

• Promote safe driving practices, PPE usage, and a safe workplace.

• Promoting safe driving practices, a safe workplace, and proper use of PPE.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geology a plus).
• Strong ability to safely operate a vehicle and navigate urban streets and active construction sites.
• Ability to meet pre-employment criteria, including motor vehicle record.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic computations.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds.
