Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager to oversee testing and inspection of construction materials across diverse job sites. You will lead technicians, ensure safety, and maintain high-quality standards on projects.

The role requires a civil engineering/related degree, 5+ years in materials testing, and strong data analysis and communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
  • PE license preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in interpreting testing data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians and inspectors, ensuring their training, development, and safety on-site.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and conduct various tests on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and more, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to schedule and coordinate testing activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, generate comprehensive reports, and communicate findings to project stakeholders, offering guidance for any necessary adjustments.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Stay up-to-date with relevant codes, regulations, and industry trends to ensure adherence to best practices and legal requirements.
  • Client Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
