Job summary

Geotex Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager for our Denton, TX office to lead field and lab testing operations and coordinate project requirements.

The role emphasizes managing submittals, coordinating with technicians, and maintaining thorough documentation and reports to ensure adherence to project specifications and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PM experience in testing and construction materials.
• Ability to manage submittals, reports and site documentation.
• Strong attention to project specifications and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain project specifications and plan submittals.
• Attend preconstruction and progress meetings.
• Verify technicians have information and tools to complete projects.
• Maintain documentation including personnel and test reports.
• Review and sign project reports using SpectraQest.
• Identify concerns and propose solutions.
• Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Obtain all project specification and plan submittals.
• Attend preconstruction and progress meetings as required.
• Verify that technicians have all required information and tools to complete a particular project.
• Keep documentation throughout the project, such as personnel, test reports, lab technicians, etc.
• Check all test results prior to report preparation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Review, approve and sign project reports on industry specific software, SpectraQest.
• Identify areas of concern and propose solutions.
• Other duties as required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
• Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and testing requirements.
