Job summary

Fenagh Engineering & Testing in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to oversee projects from proposal to completion, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, budget performance, and client satisfaction.

You will lead field and laboratory personnel, review plans and specifications, manage scopes, budgets, and staffing, and serve as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Construction Materials Testing, geotechnical engineering, or related consulting.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Experience reviewing plans, specs, and geotechnical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple CMT and inspection projects from proposal to completion.
• Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Lead field technicians, inspectors, and laboratory personnel.
• Review field and lab reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, TxDOT, ICC, and project specs.
• Mentor and develop project engineers and technicians.
• Support business development through client relations and proposals.
